​On January 23, 2025, the McGill Energy Journal held its very first event in the Thomson House. The MEJ Speaker Panel, hosted by Charlotte Dujardin and Jérémie Proulx, featured three insightful speakers: Junji Nishihata (Senior Communications Advisor in the McGill Office of Innovation and Partnerships), Louis Chenot (McGill Student), and Inès Lamothe-Katrapani (McGill Student). Together, they led a thoughtful discussion on the Importance of Media in the Energy Sector, sparking dialogues among the many students and members of the public in attendance. The panel was followed by refreshments, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for continued conversation. A special thanks to the rest of the Events Team — Léa Bosch, Thea Contardi, and Lucy Mackin — for their efforts in making this event such a success.
